Laxmi Raman Acharya Foundation is dedicated to the cherished memory and ideals of veteran Freedom Fighter and a true Gandhian Late Shri Laxmi Raman Acharya, who spent 7 years Rigorous Imprisonment in British Jails sentenced from time to time for his active participation in Freedom Movement. He was declared as the Prime accused in famous Agra Conspiracy Case which sent the shock waves to the royal bureaucracy and electrified the youth to march forward for the national cause.

After independence he served the Country in various capacities as Deputy Chief and Finance Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Union Minister & Chairman of All India Khadi & Village Industries Commission, Mumbai and scores of other National and International positions of high esteem including ambassadorial assignment in Mexico. Inspite of his long innings in Government, he always remained committed to the social cause. He was the main architect of the various Government Welfare Projects implemented during his time and was hailed as Vikas Purush by then President Shri V.V. Giri. Many national and international  Institutes of high repute in the field of Education, Art and Culture flourished under his able leadership and guidance.

Laxmi Raman Acharya Foundation  pays its tribute to this Apostle of Fraternity, Peace and Love who lighted the hearts of millions leaving behind a rich legacy of high values and ideals.
